Filing bankruptcy (chapter 13 or otherwise) will not wipe your credit report clean. In fact, it will just make it worse by adding the bankruptcy to the Public Records section. This will drop your score up to 200 points for seven years (unless removed).
Bankruptcy should only be considered when you're being sued. Otherwise, there are simpler options to wipe your credit report clean.
