Getting the type of credit card we all want (unsecured) while in chapter 13 will require waiting at least 3 years (unless removed). But you can open secured cards such as Credit Builder Card or My Jewelers Club while in chapter 13. These are great for rebuilding credit and recovering from the damage the bankruptcy has caused.
